To enhance the welfare of individuals and communities within the District, this Department plans, implements, and promotes social development programs and policies.

The Department collaborates with local residents to increase community well-being through fostering equitable development for the marginalized.

It monitors daycare facilities, services for the rehabilitation of physically challenged, and community-based programs.
